The members of Sammamish Hills seek to live
a life balanced by the three dimensions of
the life of Jesus:
 |
-
UP with God
-
IN with other believers
-
OUT in service to the world
(missional communities)
|
In living and
serving Christ together, we have the
following tools:
-
Our life together is STRUCTURED
by relationships where we
support e
ach other while also
holding each other accountable.
-
As we seek to be a MISSIONAL
community, the language we use
most often in reaching out to
others is the Gospel of Jesus
ordered into eight LIFESHAPES.
Through these eight basic shapes
we have a way of simply and
concisely communicating with
others who seek to follow
Christ, different ways different
ways of following Jesus,
listening to the Spirit and
establishing balance.
-
Finally, we've been given the
DNA of the basic biblical
concept of "Covenant" - who
we
are as children of God and
"Kingdom" or "Kingship" - how
our lives are ordered as
followers of
Christ.
One of the key relational structures
for this life together is called a
"Cluster" . Clusters are
Missional communities with 30-70
people of all ages who focus on the
outward vision of their leaders. The
current Cluster offerings at
Sammamish Hills are listed below.

Open to all adults
(single/married/divorced/widowed),
we are a fun group that gets
together for a potluck the last
Thursday of each month for
fellowship and to focus on God's
word and what it means to live
out our faith. In addition, we
are dedicated to being God’s
hands in the community, reaching
out to those who are in need of
food and shelter. We give of
our time and energy to two
groups: 1) the Neighborhood
Cooking Foundation, with
rotating groups helping to
prepare meals for the homeless
on the second Saturday of each
month (www.neighborhoodcooking.org)
and 2) the YWCA Family Village,
with cluster members helping to
prepare and furnish transitional
housing units for homeless
families working towards
independent living in permanent
housing (www.ywcaworks.org).
Come join us! For more
information, contact Humphrey
Fisser (206.909.6654).
