"By far, the number one way that churches made
the teens in our survey feel welcomed and valued was when adults in the
congregation showed an interest in them. More than any single program or
event, adults’ making the effort to get to know the kids was far more
likely to make the kids feel like a significant part of their church."

SUNDAY NIGHT YOUTH GROUP: Sunday Nights
is a weekly group that meets on Sunday nights (imagine that!) from
7-8:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. As part of our time together, we spend
time getting to know each other through games and group building as well
as dig into some scripture and apply it to our daily lives. We also love
playing games and cooking up treats in the kitchen. If you can’t be
there every Sunday or need to come late, no problem! Just come when you
can! To connect up even more, check out the
Sammamish Hills Lutheran Youth page on Facebook!
HOLDEN YOUTH WEEKENDS: Our first round
of registrations are out for a great weekend at Holden Village filled
with music, great speakers, huge scoops of ice cream, hikes, and service
projects as we dig into the theme "Keep Church Weird." Space may still
be available, so contact Kaitlin
(Kaitlin@shc.org) ASAP to find out
if there’s still room for this great retreat in the mountains on either
May 25-27 or May 27-29.
