Summer
is finally here and with it come some awesome
opportunities. Summer is my favorite time of year, not
just because I can bask in the sun and enjoy the endless
daylight, but because of the time I get to spend with
each of your children. Between mission trips, camps,
evening gatherings, bumping a volleyball around, or
catching up with them over a cup of coffee, I love
getting to know each person better and learning what God
is up to in their lives. So call me, email me or stop
by the church!
Hope to see you soon!

What’s Going On for Youth?
WHAT’S GOING ON FOR MIDDLE SCHOOLERS FOR THE SUMMER?
This summer we’re back to meeting every other Tuesday
evening throughout the summer months. We’ll eat
together, play games and just enjoy summer! Parents, we
need your help! To make our gatherings fun, we need
parents to host meals in their homes or at the church.
The sign-up sheet is in the narthex! The dates are July
6 & 20 and August 10 & 24 and will run from 6-8pm.
Please let Kaitlin know if you would like to help!

SUMMER CAMP JULY 29-AUGUST 1- Registration deadline
is Friday, July 2nd:
We’ve got an
adventure waiting for everyone this summer at Shoshone
Base Camp in Idaho, a mountain retreat located where
Shoshone Creek meets the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene
River. We
load the charter bus at the church and head out to Idaho
where campers spend time with Pr. John and other camp
staff as they grow closer to God and each other in this
amazing part of God’s Creation.
What will you do at camp this summer?
·
Campers
include students who are entering 6-9th grade
in the fall who take part in onsite activities like rock
climbing, zip line, and tubing.
·
Beyond
Shoshone is for students entering 10th & 11th
grade who spend time beyond the camp setting, spending
nights in an awesome forest service lookout and days out
in the community doing service projects.
·
Staff
includes 11th & 12th graders as
counselors in training, college through age 25 for
counselors, and guides who are 25 and up.

registration form today in the narthex or click on the

With the high school
serving in Guatemala this summer, we’d love to offer an opportunity for
middle school and high school students who wish to stay closer to home
to use their hands and feet during a week-long service trip, as well.
However, we need the help of a couple adult leaders to make it happen!!
This summer we would love to return to Idaho to take part in Idaho
Servant Adventures where students in grades 6-12 travel out to Idaho for
many service projects and amazing speakers. We are looking at the dates
of June 26-July 2 or July 18-23. Please contact Kaitlin
(kaitlin@shlc.org or 392-7799 ext
16) if you’re interested in attending or have a preference for dates.
