Everyone is Welcome! Throughout the year,
congregational members and guests gather to celebrate
and enjoy each other's company in a relaxed, informal
setting. These events welcome all ages- singles,
families, couples. If you are new to the congregation,
it is a wonderful way to meet others and increase your
feeling of belonging. All events are planned and carried
out by volunteers.

The annual SHLC
picnic is held during the month of August and has been
held for the past several years at Lake Sammamish State
Park. We typically kick off the day with a worship
service followed by incredible food, volleyball games
and a bouncy house for the kids. Bring your family,
friends and neighbors for fun and fellowship.
In January, a call
goes out to individuals and families to cook up their
most festive chili or soup and bring it to the dinner
preceding the Annual Congregational Meeting. Chili Feed
attendees vote by secret ballot on their favorites, and
prizes are awarded for the crowd favorite! Chili is the
tie that binds youth and adults of all ages at Sammamish
Hills Lutheran Church together.

Each Wednesday in
Lent 80 to 100 families and individuals gather in the
Fellowship Hall to share sandwiches and soup and take
time to get to know each other before the Lenten
service. Volunteers prepare and bring the food. Music
from Pastor Will, stories for children, and games keep
everyone moving and laughing. Come join us!

Toddler Time
provides a play space for children ages 0-5 and a place
and time for fellowship for the moms and involves weekly
Wednesday morning play and story time, outreach projects
for Eastside Baby Corner & LATCH, along with special
holiday events for Easter, Halloween and Christmas.
The ministry
provides a much-needed service to both our church family
and our community. We have had many non-members attend
playgroup and have heard from many moms that Toddler
Time is a warm, inviting place with great toys for the
kids.
